Where is the old Tampines?

With Tampines 1 only one and a half years old (opened 9 Apr 09), those staying in Tampines can inevitably feel the drastic change in the traffic flow, especially during weekends. However what really interests me is the type of business that is attracted to this area - fast food. There isn't a major brand that haven't set up shop here. Just in case you have forgotten, Tampines 1 is previously Pavillion.

Here is a summary of what and where of fast food at Tampines central:

McDonald's - 3, Tampines Mall, Tampines Central and Tampines Interchange (kiosk), and mind you, all 3 come with McCafe!
KFC - Tampines Mall (previously at Pavillion)
Burger King - Tampines Mall (beside KFC, previously at Century Square)
Long John Silver - Tampines Mall (previously at Century Square)
MOS Burger - Tampines Mall
Subway - Tampines 1, previously opposite Tampines stadium
Carl's Junior - Tampines 1
Popeyes - Century Square, the 3rd outlet opened in Singapore, after Changi Airport and Singapore Flyer
Wendy's - outside Century Square

By the way, if you are a KOI fanatic, there is an outlet just opened this week at the HDB office.

FYI, not counting the kiosk, there is a total of 5 McDonald's restaurants in Tampines. 4 of them operate 24 hours. I wonder if I can stay healthy like this.

**forecast: Old Town should be here next.
