wah fuck, i jus came back frm running with toh chen and i'm totally shagged out... initially thought we were just going for a 4km run around tampines neighbourhood, but instead of turning back at Safra, he led me to bedok reservoir and we ran a total of 7km.. tekan me. and as if 7km is not enough, i was forced to run intervals with him on the way back.. so we clocked a total of 7 X 1:30min intervals altoghether.. very long time never kena whack until like that liao. but i noe it's good for me so i'm grateful to tis commando for pushing me to my physical limits.

gonna run every week frm now on.

and oh btw, i've seen alot of girls in love with Rain. just to tell u, i'm in love with Pain.
wahahahahahahahaha

2 weeks after coming back frm Brunei, everything is still the same. ORD is some time away and i'm slogging hard for tis battalion while all the other first-year commanders receive their pink IC and the rest having replacements. it has been 1mth since my last post, really dunno wat to blog cos life's really dull.

Brunei is super tough but worth it. i pushed myself to a limit higher than Mt. Biang (1000m above sea level), carrying super heavy loads and motivating my guys even though i'm already shagged out. the route was covered with slippery mud resulting in muddy backside (including me) and heavy rain caused us to slp wet and shiver though the night. all tis suffering made some ppl want to give up, but i dunno why i feel so orgasmic about it. my combat endurance may have improved a great deal, but i'm still as fat. there's nothing to see in Brunei. seriously.

1day after coming back frm Brunei, it's time to book in again. i did not have any time to recover and here i am back in camp to prepare for turn ops parade. fuck loads of stores and paperwork to settle. i've never seen us working so hard to make things happen. there were many times where i saw Ben concuss in front of the computer while doing work. there was a day i tried taking a 45min nap but only woke up 3hrs later in the evening. i've never worked so hard in school before. serious.

i hope the pace can slow down a little. but dun slow down the days to ORD please.

after so many days of enjoying and eating, the time has finally arrived. i'll be reaching Brunei in less than 10hrs time... hahaha sian leh. damn nervous can. now even more nervous after Toh Chen called to ask mi to take care over there... Ranger telling me to take care instead of saying it's chicken feet.. haha scared like fuck. but still very touched to have so many friends wishing me luck. Thanks!!

will be back on 131106. need anything at the airport pls inform me before 2am.

yesterday night was my first clubbing experience and... i dun think i really like it

the company's great and the drinks are nice.. (esp the long island tea) but seriously, i would rather go sit in a pub and enjoy some cool drinks and live band than dancing to the blasting music

Nevertheless, it was an eye-opener. we were there frm 11pm till 4am drinking and dancing to the moves of the mambo king. haha. due to the battalion off-in-lieu, the place is almost like camp with so many familiar faces moving arnd and calling me, "ehhh sergeant!" lol

i see people dressing up to go clubbing like it's some fashion show, bapos dancing on the platform, girls dead-drunk (which is much more unsightly than the bapos dancing) and guys trying to find girls to bua. i think the ugliest thing i see there is guys trying to find girls to bua and some girls happily letting them do it. fucking sluts. there is this particular guy which i really feel like punching. knn go to the dance floor fucking obvious wan to find girls to bua nia. unfortunately for him, we were quite close to a bunch of girls whom he wanted to prey on. so we jus dance and dance closer to him den zhe (block) him from reaching out to the girl. gave him a few elbows too. lol. knn fat fuck face really cannot stand it. but i see the girl oso quite gian wan guys to bua her oso. feel like kicking her.

the air inside is damn bad. air-con filled with smoke. standing near to someone with a lighted cigarette can really irritate ur eyes. my shirt was fucking fucking smelly when i put it close to my nose after leaving the place. wonder if my windpipe smells the same. other than building your cardio-fitness, clubbing can be really bad for ur liver and lungs. and most imptly, my ears are still numb from the music.

i cant believe that i finished 2 books in less than 2 months!! wahahaha well done

i personally think that The Tipping Point is a better book as compared to Blink although the content is seen as quite dry by some of my frens who had read both. the facts mentioned in the book can be so subtle yet it can make such a big difference in our lives without us knowing it at all. This is a highly recommended book for those who love non-fiction like me. haha

Yesterday was Mid-Autumn Festival. some people like to call it lantern festival. it is a nice day to go out and view the moon. so i was out at Lim Chu Kang live firing area holding the Breaching Safety Specialist appointment. nice big patch of land to see the full moon. my lanterns are Bangalore Torpedos and i started playing with them since 8am in the morning at a knoll that says .78 on the map.

wat does .78 mean? it means the highest point of the knoll is fucking 78 metres above sea level. running up and down 12 times under 30 seconds each time wasn't very fun. Nevertheless, I had to do it cos I am one of the only few SME (subject matter expert) in the battalion on demolition.

the situation became worse at night. i dunno why the mosquitos there are so fierce. apparently they dun like to attack exposed flesh. all the shots i got were on the back and thighs and a few on my ass. i wonder wat kind of training these jungle mosquitos go through to acquire this skill. are they any different from the mosquitos in the city? is life out there tougher? or did the competition from the rest of the mosquito population in the jungle make them more lethal? i caught afew and took a closer look using my SAF-issued torch. it didnt look any different from the ones living at my home leh.

this is also the first time i experience low visibility outfield. it was quite hazy last nite. estimated PSI shld be 100. fucking humid somemore knn run up the knoll so xiong liao now still must sweat running up the knoll. not very pleasant. view on top of a .78 knoll is quite majestic though.

on the brighter side, i think this company live firing is a real eye opener. this is the most ops ready firing i've seen in my 1.5yrs in the army. coordinated fire from 84mm and MG and live rounds flying all over the knoll is the best simulation of real war. we do not see nicely planted positions for u to move towards, u must listen to ur PC in the midst of heavy fire or u might jus die under ur buddy's rifle.

came at 8pm and left at 4am. a good 20 hours of live firing. blood sucked dry somemore. current PSI is 150. cycled at 10am today where the PSI is 120. no wonder pi sai so thick. lol

it's another wkend of overspending... on food again hahahaha.. went out last evening with Gerald, Shaohua and Ben.. initially thot Gerald's fren is coming.. tis girl tat gerald wanted to intro to me.. 18 yrs old nia somemore look very cute and innocent.. maybe cos he's too old cannot take so intro to me.. hahaha.. Zzz in the end oso nv come.

met at Marina for early dinner at Kenny Rogers. ordered Honey-Bourbon ribs and a half chicken plus 3 side dishes which we took Potato Salad, Macaroni & Cheese and Coleslaw. food isnt too bad but dun think will go there often. $18 each

wanted to go Carl's Jr for the Beef Chilli Cheese Fries but was greeted by a full house.. zzz

moved on to Clarke Quay in the night time and Gerald was craving for ice cream so we went into Haagen Dazs and ordered a... Chocolate Fondue. the menu said something like "for sharing with that special someone" but 4 big guys were eating it like some sexually desperate beasts.. hahaha quite orgasmic though. $10 each

last stop was Brewerkz. again we ordered hell lots of food. we had Calamari, Potato Skins, Beer Battered Onion Rings to go with our beer called Dunken Ryzen. ordered another Pizza and a beer sample set to complete the day. hahaha $26 each. they were telling me the waitress was stealing glances at me everytime she walk past.. haha abit flattered cos this kind of thing dun happen very frequently u noe.. somemore i think my companions are better looking than me.. heh

spent a total of $55 on food in one day. cb

What should you be doing at this age?

i guess this is the question alot of ppl will ask... esp those who are thinking of getting rich will tell u to start young or it will be too late.. some will think of signing-on the army so that they can have a secure career. some will already be working to support their family, slogging their asses out for the rest of their lives. the rest will be having that silver spoon stuck in their bloody mouths, usually acting like the whole world owes them a living.

while the rich will be travelling arnd the world so tat they can tell ppl they have been there before, others will be spending their parents' hard earned money like there's no tomorrow. the poor? work lor. let ppl order them arnd like dogs. the society allows u to eat the weak ma. so eat lor.

of course, gaining knowledge is something that everyone must do regardless of age. but i think the most important thing to learn now is to suffer. suffer while young, if not old liao need to suffer how? learn to take hardship, hunger, loneliness and survival. one shld push himself to his physical and mental treshold, work under adversity, still being able think under pressure. all these can be trained since young, best at this age. with a tough character, nobody will dare to eat u.

you will eat the weak.

had my first driving lesson today.. to have the engine stall 3 times after moving off is already quite sucky.. to have ppl behind horning u is even more tulan. i swear it will never happen again.. haha. quite gd tat the instructor let me drive home as part of my practice.. save money. and driving at 70km/h for the first time handling a car is as good as having an orgasm wahahaha

tis week has been very hectic for me.. monday was the in-processing of the new batch of commanders (all the fuck sergeants) and i'm part of the training cadre for their GCC. first day nia they nearly got killed by us. and it's jus the start of our endless tekan. haha. i made them go into push-up position on the tar road under the hot afternoon sun in front of RSM. no fucking sense of urgency. RSM didnt stop me so meaning tis course shall be our show wahahahaha. i'm a fucking sadist

on 2nd day of their life training as a guardsman, they had a stand-by area conducted by us and got themselves into shit for not being very interested. one of the cadre made them change to FBO with rifle over head for the whole stand-by while i made them change into PT kit and run like idiots arnd the camp. hahaha this is a sadist course compared to mine. any of ur frens jus got posted to Guards as a sergeant? too bad for them la.

wed and thurs Support Company had their ATP. i didnt get my marksman as expected and tis is the only time i experienced less than 2hrs slp in camp before moving off again for the 2nd day of the shoot. shag sia.

GCC 01/06 i was a trainee
GCC 02/06 they have to address me as cadre

wahahahha NDP is finally over!! 1 month of endless shit work tasked to us jus to make the show look good has come to an end. no more funpack, no more SICUS (aka saikang), no more of my OC banging tables to fight for our welfare. (i think HQ alot of tables spoil liao lol).

"so, at the end of the day, wat do u take home frm tis experience?" i asked my soldiers tis question but i dun think anyone of them understand wat i wan to express cos to them it's only saikang and more saikang. To me, i learnt alot from tis event... first of all, as me and ben always puts it, tis is the most practical form of serving the nation rather than training so hard for war and not fighting for real (mayb not). secondly, u get to see the ugly side of Singaporeans.. learning how to swallow shit of fuckers who r unwilling to cooperate. i think i'm still not capable of handling big crowds as compared to ben.. lastly and most imptly, learning how to work under pressure. i see officers who cant work under pressure, cant plan, cant command, cant do fuck shit. might as well go die

today is a damn crazy day. i dreamt of Toh Chen failing his Ranger course. i can even feel his disappiontment in my dream.. as i'm blogging right now, he called!! i really thought he's going to tell me he failed course but no, he's going to thailand tml for ops phase, closer to getting his tab already.. Congrats!

Jeffrey oso appeared in my dream... another scary one. i saw him wearing khaki beret and telling me he signed on! wtf sign on Guards? i told him, "siao bo?" i oso dunno why i said that but i think i had a disappionting time as a Guardsman ba.. haiz..

den in the noon, Pek from SISPEC called me!! it's surprising as he nvr called me b4 after our time in SISPEC and we only met 2 times by chance.. he invited me to his wedding dinner nxt yr! happy cos he remembered me and i'm 1 of the few of his SISPEC mates to be invited. just bcos we share the same passion of defending tis country. too bad he's no longer serving the force. it's sad to hear someone who told me he wanted to serve for passion being so disappointed with the system... haiz, never sign on ok? passion is really bullshit when u cant control the system. u can only sign on for money. too bad la the society works like tis.

Yesterday's task given to me for NDP 2006 was Army Laision Personnel (ALP) for Da Qiao Pri Sch. my job was fairly simple; report to the sch in the afternoon and settle all the stuff needed for the show, bring them there and then back to the sch and my job is done.. wat's so special is that the majority of teachers there are young and female.. hahaha damn power leh

after settling down in the stadium, the guys in charge of the other schs in my sector all came to me and asked, "eh sergeant, tis one ur sch ah? the teachers power sia! change with me leh, sergeant. i wan to noe them heh heh heh." wahahaha power lah

i think wat's most impt is that i asked them how is it like being a teacher and other stuff regarding teaching as a profession since they graduated not long ago (u can oso say tat i'm flirting with them).. wahahaha not bad la must interact more with ppl of different profession..

the day ended with one of the teachers sending me home.. damn nice leh she stay hougang but sent me all the way home.. tell me 日行一善.. wahahaha i had power packed day

Saturday, June 10, 2006

Went Manhattan Fish Market yesterday after bookout with Ben, Kai Jun, Boon and Yong Guang.. managed to convince them that the food there is up... all agreed that the Fried Mushrooms and Sweet Alabama Smoothie are the best in the house.. wahaha

moved on to DBS ATM located at basement 1 after the meal to check whether our pay is in already or not.. had an interesting time laughing in the queue.. First, there is this machine called Fast Cash where users can only withdraw money and nothing else.. what happened was that this lady (or guy, i cant remember) walked away without taking the cash... trying to show that she is faster than the cash? or simply not interested? then the next person in the ATM queue lagi best, he left without even taking his money AND his card! kan ni na, Singaporeans nowadays really damn busy hor?
