We are in the last few hours of 2007 and this is my 200th post to end off the year. I believe our pyrotechnics teams are standing by to ignite away our tax money at the last second of the year, giving people false hopes for the next 366 days and repeat the same cycle over and over again.

Before I prepare in the new year ahead, I will review this previous year to see what have I done and what is there to improve. And obviously I'm not someone busy typing off their "new year resolutions" and leave it to rot for the next 366 days and set a new one year after year and achieve nothing. Stupid.

I would say 2007 is a fruitful year for me as there is a big change in my lifestyle. Some important events that happened....

January - I took on my first job since army as a cook apprentice at Cahaya. I didn't learn much of cooking but certainly learnt how to suffer and pick up some household skills that are important.

6 Feb - Officially got back my freedom from army. Closed a colourful chapter of my life with nice people and a wonderful army experience. A new chapter begins and it proved to be the turning point of my life. All the events that happened later would not have occured if I was still in the army.

19 Mar - I was hired by GE Money. It was the first job that I needed to put my little intellect to use. Got to know great people and formed a clique that I believe will be still around for decades to come. The kind of bonding that I do not know if I can find in my future workplace.

Apr - I gave up my love for cycling.
Apr - Started a small business with Kiat Haw selling some stuff. A very easy business that proved to be profitable, in the process having learned how to operate and maintain it.

June - Got my laptop.

2 June - Attended Mayday's concert sitting in the first row. Had one of my dreams come true. An unforgettable experience.

4 June - I met Low Chui Wah.

9 July - We got together.

1 Aug - I turned 21 with my colleagues celebrating this day with me. No longer can I wish that people put the "promising youngster" label on me. I'm not young anymore and obviously I wasn't good enough to be called a "promising youngster".

13 Aug - I got my Class 3 license.

31 Aug - Went back to school. This time with a totally different mindset, with the drive to obtain a first class honours. Made some lousy school mates though.

24 Dec - First christmas spent with my other half. It was good to be able to spend time together on this special day. Bought a pair of couple watches.

Thoughout the year, I cultivated a good habit of reading with the help of Kiat Haw who will always walk into a book store and Liting who lent me a library book during a weekend at work. I never stopped borrowing books ever since. Going to the Central Lending Library at least once a week to read the Asian Wall Street Journal with my darling is something that I enjoy doing very much, being able to acquire knowledge together. And I'm happy that I gave up soccer betting. And trash TV.

For the new year I just hope that I can keep my habit of bringing a notebook everywhere I go so that I can pen down my ideas and things that I don't want to forget. And learn trading. Not the stock market but forex.

Have a fruitful year 2008 ahead everyone. Huat ah!

Tis' a season to be jolly? Lalalala lalala

Think this is the most joyous xmas ever.. I never believed that christmas is a day for me cos I'm not christian and I don't see a reason why everybody should celebrate this day like a national day, but it seems that it's quite fun to jostle among crowds and shop for gifts... It surely contribute to our economic development with all these consumer spending..

With all people coming together to make merry on this day, we spent the day together by staying away from the crowd to somewhere without any christmas trees or lightings. Went east coast park with our empty stomachs to capture the setting sun and took some really beautiful pictures..

Headed down to Parkway's City Chain to get the pair of watches that we have been eyeing for some time on this special day and were quite taken aback by the extent that the staff were willing to go just to close our deal. The deal was closed with a further $20 discount, with me getting the male pair at Parkway as the female pair is out of stock. The Parkway manager had to liase with the Suntec manager for us to go down to collect the other pair, so we proceeded to Suntec after our dinner to get it, only to realise that they gave us the box that don't belong to the series we bought. So I made some noise to ensure we get the nicer box, they tried their best to liase with another branch that is convenient for me, I had to go down to the Tampines branch to get it the next day. I find it rather fun, but I think I was more "fan" (troublesome). Definitely a memorable process with three branches and don't know how many staff involved. Hahaha

Walked home from the MRT station at 1030pm, saw a number of people walking in the opposite direction heading towards the station, looking eager to countdown to xmas at their preferred destination, most probably one with a electrically decorated christmas tree. And by the way, I don't really believe the idea of counting down. Why do anyone like to count away that few seconds of your life?

I was quite bored staying at home today so I went surfing at SIM website. I don't think anyone of a rational mind would be doing that. I did. Was trying to find my lecturers' profile. Then out of total boredom, I went to google their names.

I found that my PBF lecturer Jonathan Peh is quite a well known educational figure in Singapore. Of course, there are many other students who blogged about him as well (me included, now). None of the comments about him is positive. They were saying things like he cannot teach well, keep talking about stocks and things that are not in the syllabus. I say these people are stupid. PBF is such a simple subject that you don't need a lecturer at all. There he is trying to teach people how the financial world looks like and you don't appreciate it simply because you don't understand. All these words sound so valuable to me but somehow it makes no sense to many of the rest with their brain already programmed to be shut for PBF lectures. You say he's a lousy lecturer, I say you are stupid. (Remember, you are entitled to your opinion, so am I). Just because of that reason, I think he should not be teaching children of this level. It only tarnish his reputation, which he doesn't have any in SIM to start with.

If you are studying Banking and Finance with the notion that a degree of any class can get you a job in the banking industry earning loads of money, I can confirm that not only are you stupid, you are damn naive as well. Most probably you will be in demand for that administrative position in that mini bank. I wish you all the best for the next pay rise.

So, my advice to you people who claim you don't understand shit and he's wasting your time, stop coming for his lectures and spare me some silence so I can learn. If not, shut the fuck up and listen. Shame on you, undergraduates.
Few days ago when I was walking home, I passed by this carpark and saw a very dirty white car. It's really very dirty. Dun believe? Look

I need a vision board. I need to restructure my thoughts, my ambitions. What needs to be there in the process of success, what needs to be there at the end of the road. My Five Year Plan. First class honours. CFA. Car. $80k net worth. Some elements are missing.

I am sure right now is the toughest period of my life. Don't be mistaken. Study is not tough at all. With the correct motivation and drive, I don't see anyone who don't achieve. Humans are intelligent. You do not know how to use your brain.

Financially. 2009 will be the end. Money won't be a problem anymore. I graduate in 2010. Don't ask how am I going to do it, you won't understand. Only the universe and I understand. We communicate in a language only both of us understand.

The question you ask, "Can you make it?" See for yourself.

I can't get to sleep.

Rap:

Today was a bad day in school. Had PBF lecture and everything went wrong. First was the class test. It was so easy but I did it wrongly, unsure of my own answer and by the time I realised the correct answer I started to panic. I shivered. I shivered cos I was afraid I couldn't finish. I shivered cos it was so easy and I got it wrong.

The test did not carry any weightage towards my overall performance but I was afraid that the same thing would happen when the real exam comes. It will be 3 and a half years since the last major exam so I don't really know what to expect.

Upon handing in the paper, we took back our previous class test. I got 19/25. I felt so disgusted with myself. I was expecting 22 if not full marks. How to be the top 10% like that? Maybe my expectation of myself is extraordinary, but I won't settle for anything below 70 in this slack programme. My classmate told me 19x4 = 76% which is equal to first class honours, I felt like giving him one bloody tight slap. I don't know how it can be measured like this when the test is only on one chapter. He got 15 and was over the skies. I seriously don't know what's wrong with all this "university students" thinking. Disgusting.

I began to wonder... What is the reason I can't find someone whom I can click with in class? Why don't anyone share the same drive towards academic excellence? Those people in SIM will certainly know what I mean, more than 70% of the people cannot be bothered at all. I'm sure if you take a look at NUS or NTU, the people who study hard, whether with or without a purpose, or just to prove they are better than the foreigners, will make up more than 70%.

Once again, I'm being put in an environment that don't give me the strength to achieve.

Finished reading a book in one week is not easy for me, I don't know why. It could be due to the fact that my command of english is not good enough, or may be the fact that the books I read are 90% non-fiction with heavy content. Nonetheless, I had not been doing my routine revision just to finish this.

It seems that I've just finished an academic semester. Though we do not have any exams at this time of the year, major topics have been concluded. In Principles of Banking and Finance (PBF), we have covered Principles of Finance, in Principles of Accounting (POA), we are done with Financial Accounting, in Introduction to Economics, we ended Microeconomics (which is such a bitch) and finally, Maths I is so simple that I'm starting to miss it.

Given the way that the syllabus are spread, I feel there should be exams and not cramp everything to the end of the academic year. As if 100% weightage on exams isn't enough, we have only one attempt on the full 100%. It's not funny.

However, I do believe that daily preparation is enough. I was taught this way in primary school and everything seems so familiar now. 4 subjects in the report card and each scoring no less than 80. I still remember how it was done and I'm capable of reproducing it again. Like what KH said, if 9 people are in the same course of study, read and listen only to what is being taught, they will score marks that we call the "norm". Now put me in as the tenth student, I go a step further to find out more and produce a different answer out of the norm, I will be the top 10% of the cohort. Yes, it works that way.

Individuals do not follow statistics, statistics are made up of individuals.

You know, inflation is pushing the prices of everything up except my pay. My family's favourite Walls Magum ice cream that used to cost $7.70 is now $8.70. Chocolate bars no longer cost $1.20. It rose 25% to $1.50.

All his fault for keeping interest rates so low for so long in the past causing the subprime crisis we are facing now. Sucker. Still can smile until so happy.

Happy sia. so bo liao. hahaha

Many many memories flooded back today. Went out for a run and saw someone familiar, an acquintance that I knew from NCC some years back. I was running and she was with a group of friends walking in the opposite direction towards me. I think she recognised me but dared not call me. I stared at her but she looked down. haha youngsters nowadays very ill-mannered. tsk tsk tsk.

On my way home, I saw a car with a L-plate. It was my instuctor with his auto car. He waved as he drove past me. So nice of him to still remember me after 3 months.

Came back home and saw Jiale on msn with a sad nick. He just broke up with his girlfriend. He told me, "I think i'm not ready and the girl like ignore me". I gave him 3 words that I came across in a book...

"Love without ownership". It's a phrase that I think has no defined meaning, up to the individual to interpret. He asked me what it means, but I couldn't even give him my answer...

After that he said something that I used to tease him when we stayed together in the same bunk few months ago

"Eh tonight go out leh, I treat u eat ice cream, steady. But u pay first."

Hhahahahaha to think he still remember. All these little things that made us happy in that shithole that was never clean and never would be. I hope he can come SIM to accompany me for the rest of time there.

12 hours school - 15 hours work. This is my schedule every week. This week, due to a public holiday, it became 6 hours school - 26 hours work. A lot of things still undone and Econs test is next thurs. And let me tell you, LSE Econs is a bitch and I feel exhausted. Not from the stress from school work (SIM is damn slack) but from the long work hours into the night.

I dropped my watch real hard this morning when I came home from work. The "second" hand dropped off and I thought it is spoilt for good. It happened at 2.35am and I wasn't sure whether it is still moving so I left it there hoping that it would tell me the correct time when I check it again. The next time I checked was 3.35am. The minute hand was still fixed at 7 so I thought it was dead. Fact is, I did not look properly... It must be feeling damn sad that I thought it died when it struggled so hard to live just so that I can wear it out proudly again..

I just took a look at it and it's now at 3.35pm. I don't know whether this is a coincidence or what...

Spent my morning away lazing in bed reading and falling asleep and waking up to read again.. Quite unusual of me to be spending so much time sleeping cos I think one should maximise their time doing meaningful stuff, like acquiring knowledge and doing housework (haha). But I have been down with flu recently and it's making me quite sick so this rest is much needed.

Nonetheless, eom (end of month) is here again. I used to dread this period of the month (no, I don't know how a period feels like but I guess it feels as sucky) cos my bank would be dry and my days before payday wont be exciting. I always look forward to the day where my bank will be reloaded again.

I realised this is habit is very, very bad. I shouldn't be repeating this unhealthy cycle every month. Now that I have identified my problem, I'm going to change this bad habit. Even though I'm earning only $300-$400 per month (less than half of what I earn in GE, the period where I experienced the period every month). I must learn to manage every cent, even it means to save only a dollar, I must learn to manage that dollar. I do not know how much exactly I'm earning every month, so I'm going to set percentages of my salary to categories other than expenses that are fixed.

$80 - Transport.
$100 - Illiquid savings.
Remaining
50% - Necessities
25% - Family
10% - Liquid savings
10% - Luxury (clothes, expensive food)
5% - Knowledge (books)

From what you can see, even if it means to have only $100 to eat for the month, it is important to allocate funds to knowledge and luxury. This is essential to life's enjoyment. Yes, I only earn this much and I'm enjoying it. Not to worry, I am earning 20X as much in 4 years time. If you want to be more specific, that will be $8000. Watch me.

This is the second Lance Armstrong book I am reading and once again, it failed to disappoint me. The first book, It's Not About The Bike, was a damn inspiring book that even people who don't understand competitive cycling that I lent it to said so. It's about how Lance Armstrong fought back from cancer and got back to win the Tour de France again (and again), how he learnt to live again and being a good husband, father, son.

The book I am reading now, Every Second Counts, talks more about his competitive adventures and it's really facinating to read. I used to put my pen and notebook with me whenever I read the first book so that I could pen down inspiring quotes and I still need to do it now. Ever full of inspiration.

Must read.

Read this too.

It has been a long long time since Sec 4B last gathered.. And thanks to Aik Meng, we got to meet up again at his birthday party. But we have all changed.. The kids that we once used to be were gone. No longer are we still talking nonsense and laughing at people around us (althou I'm still one of the clowns). Topics discussed are more serious now. Uni life, hall life, abt who is dating who, who is studying what and who is going to be what in the future. Some of them are still quite blur, some of them already know which is the direction to their future.

Got some good advice from Mitchell and Jansen as both of them are studying similar courses. They really gave me idea of what are the different jobs available in the market. SMU people really talk differently and I think they are most likely to fill up all the job vacancies. Competition is real strong. Here I am, studying UOL degree, with no projects to do and no complusary internships. I need to take action if I gonna survive in this industry. Even engineers are eating a share of my pie and I'm not going to let that happen.

I still want to be in the front line.

Friday, October 05, 2007

Last time I used to think that a good word used to describe me will be "promising". Looking at it today, being promising seems to be something of future, meaning there is no value at all. No this is not right. I am definiately of value now therefore "promising" is no longer the word to use. And Kiat Haw is right, I am using too many negative words and this ain't going to work.

Something to share: How do u deal with problems? How do you look at problems? Do you see them as bigger than you? I don't. I will identify the problem before it hits me, then I will visualise it standing right in front of me (I'm a visual person) and I will look at it fiercely, at the same time growing bigger than it. It works like magic for me, I do not have problem handling problems. Problems never get the chance to take over me.

Been quite busy lately.. The worst period was juggling 2 jobs and studying at the same time. Lucky it only lasted for 4 days... Felt like a summex.. With little sleep and long working hours, talking and talking away. Life is very relaxed now, working flexible hours and studying subjects that I already have some knowledge in.

Looking at life, I find it a chore to make new friends at this age. I don't understand why people put in so much effort to make new friends and make merry, only to find them leaving for another new friend who can "clique" not long later. I mean, after living 21 bloody years, you still don't understand the way relationship work? You don't know that friends come and go? You know, when I see people in school that I happen to know, be it in the army or old school mates, I will try to take another path just to shun them. It's tiring to say hi and create some empty topics just to pretend to catch up. Don't come and waste my time please.

Yes, you say I'm anti-social. I attend my lectures and go home. The best I do will be to interact with my Asian Wall Street Journal in the library. Some people ask why don't I join a CCA. I would say manawueng to them. What? Richard Gere gave you the impression that more birds, more luck doesn't mean that more friends more luck ok.

So, back to the topic of friends. Don't tell me all these years you lived and you haven't make any friends that will stay with you, assure you? You really need them to appear popular? I even have some friends who say I don't cherish them, don't bother to initiate a gathering, then now totally bo chap me. I have a friend whom I've known since sec1, I see him as my best friend, like my own brother. His name is Kim Guan. I met up with him last month and the last time we saw each other before that was half a year ago. He's still my brother. We may have changed much in character, but our friendship is still as strong.

So what's the point really? Luckily for me, I have a habit of looking back at my life periodically. And I see some people who was there always. I know friends who fit the term Friends Forever. Start finding yours now, a new one if you really need to.

Looking back at my driving log, the first time I started learning how to drive a car was on 25-Aug 06. It was a black Honda Civic. The best car that exist in Ubi private instructors. (And I only got to know during my first TP that it's more difficult to pass due to the bigger turning radius of the vehicle. cos the Ubi's circuit is made for pussy cars like Vios) $1600 spent, 3 pieces of PDL, over a period of 1 year. I finally got my Class 3 driving license on 13-Aug on my 3rd attempt. 10 demerit points, proud to say that only 2 was deducted on the road. The fault was stated in the paper as, "Failure to signal in good time." The tester was an impatient fella. knn raised his voice at me to overtake the car beside me nabei I dun need to confirm safety before proceeding meh? and for wat fuck signal so early? zZz lucky i kept my cool and remembered someone who reminded me to "Yes sir" no matter what happens..

My 3rd piece of PDL was renewed on 1-Aug my bday. 13 days-old and it became a useless piece of paper liao. going to pay another $25 soon for another piece of PDL. This time will be for Class 2B. Please, no more renewal. 3 months - I'm going to plaster my license card.

Friday, August 10, 2007

Officially turned 21 on 1-Aug. I think this day is only worth celebrating when u know you have achieved something in your life. But I seriously don't think many people has done that after living 20 complete years, especially in Singapore. Just look back at your life - How many years were spent drinking milk, playing your early years away, watching senseless cartoons, making your parents angry by coming home late. Maybe the best thing you had done was studying and getting good grades. And there you are, happy as can be, more than 1/4 of your life gone.

I look back at my life, nothing achieved at all. The best I could do for my parents was getting good grades and not wasting their money and effort on their only child. But I did not deliver. My mother kept reminding that money weren't easy to earn, but I still spent it like water. She kept reminding me to get good grades so that I can get into a good Uni, but I spent time during lectures sleeping, time after school playing squash, sleeping, roaming in Tampines Mall.

Perhaps the best I've done was choosing to go Guards during army. The hardship I suffered finally woke me up. I realised that was the hardest thing I've done in my life. 18 years spent in the comfort zone expecting people to provide for you.

The song goes, "ORD, back to study~"
I wasn't sure if I could. So I entered the workforce for 6 months. 4 months spent on one job. Makes me realise how difficult it is to earn money. I worked hard, but it was nothing compared to what my mother has done over the past 25 years for the family. Just for a better tomorrow.

At this very moment, my life is complete. I'm studying hard for a degree, learning how to do business, filling my time with meaningful stuff. I have my mother who is always giving her unconditional love for me, friends who will be there for me when I need them, and a girl who I love very much.

Time. I am going to have a race with you.

19 Mar 07 - 21 Jul 07 GE Money Customer Service Dept - Inbound agent

My time with GE Money is finally up. In this 4 months stay, I have learnt lots. Lots of experience, lots of love from my colleagues. Experience in the sense whereby customers call in to give you a great time by shouting into his phone as if I owe him money, but in truth it's the other way round. I guess learning to tolerate is the biggest take-home from this job. Realised that my temper has became very good since leaving the army. hahahaha

I am really well taken care of during this 4 months. Colleagues like Jeremy, Muiling, Amanda who were always there to help when I encountered problems with my calls, Ju-Li and Eric who were always there to solve issues too big for me. And Rosalind, my supervisor, for answering all the questions that are not be required for my job, giving me the extra knowledge that will be useful for my future. I really appreciate every single one of them.

Sharon, Liting, Jialiang and me - 4 of us came in together and forged a very strong bond. Will never forget the times we worked on weekends and bringing joy to the CS team. I got a very strong feeling that our friendship will last for a very long time, if not forever. And also Ju-Li, who always tries to act young, forgeting that she is old. HAHAHAHA.

Not to forget, in the later stage of my stay there is this colleague by the name of Jeslyn who came in. Din know her much as a colleague. 1 month later we started holding hands. Without this job, I wouldn't have met such a wonderful girl. Her name is Chuiwah. It's the same person. =)

These are the 5 most used sentences in my work. (My mother gave me a name called Jacky when i was born but it was never registered in my birth cert and I never used it until now)

"Good morning, GE Money, Jacky speaking, How can I help?"

"I believe it's a call from my Collections department. Please hold the line while I transfer you over. In case the line don't get through, Can I give you the correct number to call? 6410... 32..99.."

"Your Giro will only commence next month, you will have to make a manual payment this month"

"Are you aware that you are 1/2/3 months overdue in your payment?"

"You are an idiot, please go and die"

I hope the last one is true.

Thinking back, one year ago, we were busy preparing for the nation's biggest event called NDP. Time really flies, it was like yesterday where all of us work so hard to achieve unachievable targets, experiencing flying tempers, overtime work.. Packing funpacks at Maju Camp, being alone on the day of primary school preview and making teachers report to me, and controlling a section of the stadium with the guys to do shit. It really put my leadership and enduranci e to test. And the bonding, an event that I will never forget in my life... I wonder how's the team in charge of the funpacks is suffering right now and I wonder how my guys are doing...

Life in GE Money is coming to an end as well.. I guess I will really miss all of them in the office, met really nice and fun loving people on this job, they make me feel so loved... Sobz.. 3 more weeks to go, we'll see how it goes.

Finally got my blog in shape... Added Ad-sense to it and reset my counter ever since this blog started in 2004.. It's plain, and it will be loaded with contents not only on my life but many other things about life as well. However you won't be seeing too many updates as I've got many more important things to do such as contributing to LaiKaoPeh.com and starting an after-sales site.

Life in the month of June is poor, with lots of purchases being done (look at the cancellations over at the other section), biggest one being the laptop that i'm using right now to blog. Very nice to type and it has got an excellent LCD screen that won't strain my eyes. Got it at a good deal on the PC show as it was my former boss who sold it to me. It's so new that the set of specs is not even in the offical Toshiba site yet. muahahaha.

Toshiba M200 specs:
Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo T7100
2GB RAM
120GB HDD
Integrated Graphics
1.3M webcam, Fingerprint sensor, DVD-RW Labelflash
Windows Vista Premium

Finally able to throw away my 5 year-old desktop after 2 weeks of transferring files and waiting for my items. I just need 3 more items to complete. A basic Logitech mouse for home use, Buffalo external HDD and speakers.

My room is in a mess right now.

it's been near 2 mths since i last blogged and there were people asking me why so long nv update.. so there are frens who still read my blog.. haha.. was quite busy since starting work at GE Money but life still goes on as usual. there is nv enough time when you are holding 2 jobs and doing some sidelines. working towards my dream of early retirement, earning lots of money, and most important of all, to show ppl arnd me how a youngster can be so capable. got alot to prove, got to start before 21.

working in a MNC let me realize how they operate and how fucked up some of their systems are and they are still earning so much money. learnt alot abt Auto Financing - such as the procedure of buying/selling car, how not to lose out on the loan agreement, the best loan package, how many vehicles get towed away by us each day and that not everyone who buys a car can pay. There are ppl who buy Proton Kelisa at $300/mth and cannot pay, and ppl who buy Jaguar XK at $6000/mth and can pay happily with such high interest.

I still go back to Cahaya to part-time ocasionally during wkends to earn some pocket money. this is the only way to make life more hectic and pain. not only that, i'm also doing a sideline that has the potential of paying $150/wk. i call it trading. lol as for trading wat, it's a secret. so right now, i'm doing all this for a living and working for a saving.

I stopped one of my favourite hobbies - Cycling. sold away my bike at no loss but abit heart pain. got a place in my house specially dedicated for my bike but it's now empty. it's as good as crippling me.. dunno when will i have the money to build up a new bike. miss the times when me and ben went cycling to geylang for Rochor tou huay and the times when me, toh chen, sq cycled out for supper.

and btw, i got into SIM Banking and Finance with UOL. can u picture me as a stockbroker? or as an investment banker? wahahaha gonna put some soccer teams in their portfolios. lol. it's going to happen. very soon.

the thought of it is orgasmic.

It has been a long time since i last posted cos I've been really really busy with my job.. This super tough job is taking up 12 hrs of my day everyday... So tiring to the extent that whenever i reach early, I will go to the toilet, hide inside the cubicle, put down the cover, sit down and take a 10min nap before reporting for work.. hahaha people who know me shld know I dun like to be late, esp for work. It reflects really badly on your character lor. and btw Far East 5th floor toilet is a very clean, condusive environment to sleep in. hahaha

Working in tis line now makes me realise that outside food is really not clean at all.. hahaha serious lor. and also to appreciate the art of cooking. i'm especially impressed with the boss' knowledge on food. do u know that the world's most expensive food is a kind of fungi? and how the word "satay" didn't originate from malays and the how word "hotdog" came about? haha ask me la now I know already.

Company's cny celebration was on Fri. Uncle say bring us go eat good food so i was pretty excited about it.. A bunch of cooks shld have got very high standard for the food they eat ma. true enough, the food is fucking nice! the place is at bedok, opposite blk 416. it's rather famous cos i told some of my relatives about it and they know of that place oso.. heh. the taste of the suckling pig is indescribable, or like wat i always say, orgassss. haha. i drank Martell Cordon Bleu oso muahahaha. drank alot that day. Guiness, Tiger, Martell all sup

Uncle gave me a some tips on managing people,

"a person can have 10 weaknesses, but if he has got 1 strong point that is good enough for u to cast away that 10 weak points, do u still want to keep him?"

an excerpt taken from the book i'm reading right now:

"anyone who wasn't afraid in situations like war was a fool and they don't give medals to fools. That being brave does not mean being unafraid. It often means being afraid and doing it anyway."

do you see any meaning in it?
